I am a friend of one of your own, whose treatment from January to April when he died, left a lot to be desired.

Arrived at A and E at 0945 the car park was full up when I did find a place and walked back there were only 3 people in front of me in reception how come there is no where to park? the car park was full of staff cars?? surely customers should have chance to park first, they are enough worry going there in the first place let alone trying to park

I was sitting in the waiting room when a young girl came in with her boyfrend ....she was bent over in pain .crying. hanging on to her boyfrend to stay upright at the desk they took name ....said take a seat.... Lad ..asked how long politely. Receptionist said dont know... Young girl...crying in pain..boy said to me.dr said she should be seen to immediately..I said go back and tell her....receptionist said..dr should not have told you that....take a seat.....lad said ..gave me a idea how long ..she said iv told you to take a seat....lad said..shes crying over there in pain..8 weeks pregnant.she said dont raise your voice to me..in my opinion at this stage .....the receptionist was out of order....if shes become complacent with her job....with no compassion or diplomacy move over and gave to some one else. My daughter was in exactly the same place 2 years ago she sat in A&E losing the baby.. bleeding in reception ..when she was seen was told you should have been sent straight up to the ward.....I work for nhs....I work for solicitor and a dr surgery....your receptionist need to be Re.trained .its not human I would gladly have allowed her my slot..

I recently had a biopsy taken under general anaesthetic with the ENT Unit as a day patient From the moment I arrived at the unit I felt safe and the treatment I received from all the staff and surgeons was excellent. They made you feel at ease and everything was explained, recovery was quick which all helps. 10/10

On November 1st. 2020 following a call to 111 arrangemnts were made to admit my wife to Glangwili Hospital for a suspected mini stroke which fortunately turned out to be VERTIGO. I cannot express my gratitude enough for all concerned with her treatment from the 111 team, nurse advisor, doctors who reviewed her symptoms and arranged for the ambulance which arrived very quickly. The ambulance team performed a very thorough examination which put my wife at ease before transfer. On arrival at Glangwili Hospital she received very caring attention from all concerned with her care from nursing, diagnosing technicians, doctors and consultants throughout her short stay. Her career was outstanding and i cannot express my thanks for the wonderful service provided by all concerned.

This hospital A&E department has left my partner waiting in pain and discomfort since 10am this morning and it's now 5.30pm. They have told him that there is no bed available and he will have to sit up in a chair all night. He has a potentially life threatening gastric bleed and is extremely fatigued from loss of blood and does not have the strength to argue with the 'robotic' staff to get a bed. I will be very interested to find out the truth of bed availability. So far the treatment has been lacking. It seems that social distancing regulations in this hospital has given some staff an air of detachment from new patients. It has become like two completely separate worlds with staff on one side and the rest of the public on the other.

(Tuesday March 10th 2020). I have incurable Advanced Prostate Cancer which has extensively spread to my bones. Approx 2weeks, ago I fell and broke my leg and was brought in to hospital, and operated on in the afternoon. I don’t remember much about The first couple of days, But since then the service I’ve had from the lady that brings the tea right through to my consultant surgeon (Mr Ennis), has been fantastic. God bless the NHS. And even though Teifi Ward is very busy, All of my nurses, Carers etc. Have gone way above and beyond an excellent level of service. I would also like to thank all other ancillary staff eg. Occi Therapy. Occi Heath, for working towards getting me fit to go back home. Including a loan of a specialist bed and hopefully two visits by carers to help get me up in the morning and back into bed at night. As whilst my missus will hopefully be able to cope with everything else. This help will be invaluable to helping me resettle back into home life. Once again Thanks for everything. Diolch yn fawr.

I cannot praise this hospital enough. Staff were kind and courteous and despite obvious shortages they treated me with respect and friendliness. My Consultant was equally kind and explained everything to me and treated me as a peer not an idiot. We are so lucky to have the NHS and the treatment we receive, long may it last.

operation cancelled 3 times in 3 weeks. Now, here's the catch. In England after 3 cancellations you can book elsewhere or privately. Not so in Wales, they MUST rebook you withn 2 weeks, which they do. Then cancel you whilst you are on the ward, in a gown, waiting to go to theatre. A particularly callous and cruel way of bumping patients off their lists.

Operation cancelled 3 times in as many weeks! Now here is the catch. In England, 3 cancellations means you can choose to have your procedure done privately. Not so in Wales, they MUST book you in again within 2 weeks, which they do, but then cancel you again! Can you imagine the stress of being in a hospital bed, in a gown waiting to go to theatre and they then come and cancel you? It is beyond cruel the way patients are treated, with just a shrug of the shoulders and told to go home. The psychologial affect it has on you is truly devastating. Still waiting......
